Last night I listened in on the Women of the Web 2.0 webcast. What a fun group. It’s not just women and it’s definitely not a bunch of stick-in-the-mud teachers talking like techies.

It was a real hoot as Cheryl Oakes attempted to keep the lurkers from accosting us. It seems that several people joined the Skypecast after searching “women.” Oops … we’ll see what happens next week as David Warlick visits.

WOW 2.0

The most important thing I got from the hour was hearing the passion for the read/write web – both teachers’ and students’ passions. Lots of good ideas, good examples, and great challenges.

Now … onward and upward to influence my faculty colleagues some more!
